Adrian Mira, besides his various works as a sideman, lately has been focusing on his original music and produced his first CD "Acoustic Journeys" as a leader in 2010. The CD contains 12 tracks by Adrian Mira and was recorded in New York City, featuring New York City based musicians . Some tunes of the CD are in trio format (clarinet/sax, guitar, bass), others with additional percussion in quartet format. The compositions show the many influences that Adrian Mira has been exposed to - one can hear jazz, classical, Indian, French, Brazilian, far eastern, Klezmer and other stylistic influences. Most forms of the pieces are clearly structured, warm sounding, melodic, intimate yet lively and versatile, with occasional odd meters. Acoustic Journeys - a fascinating and touching musical experience .
